Bus will leave from the Indian River Complex. There is

CHILDREN’S BOOK ILLUSTRATION & WRITING:
Friday
evenings: April 17- May 22, 2009, Time: 7 – 9:30 pm,
Ages: 18 yrs and older.
Learn the craft of creating books for children. This
six-week course is open to all disciplines of art,
including photography. Children’s book styles are as
diverse as their creators. Topics include: formats,
brainstorming, writing and illustration do’s & don’ts,
layout techniques, what publishers look for, finding
publishers, submitting work, contracts, working with
editors and art directors, agents and more. Our
Instructor, John Himmelman, has been a Children’s Book
Writer & Illustrator since 1981. Many of his sixty five
published books have gone on to win a variety of awards
and honors. All students must be interested in the
illustration aspect of this course – this is not for

AEROBIC DANCE CIRCUIT:
Classes will be held at the P & R Building.
Dates: Mondays: March 30 –
May 18, 2009, Time: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Fee is
$65.00 ($70.00 Non-residents) The program is for Adults
and limited to 18 participants. Description: bored of
your old routine? Come down and enjoy this highly
effective circuit! It is a fun way to workout,
alternating between Aha-cha, Jive, Cardio Kickboxing and
resistance training. Each class includes Power-Abs and
full-spectrum stretching. Please bring a mat and water
bottle. Light weights optional.
MARTIAL
ARTS:
Martial Art Classes are available through Madison
Academy located at 32 Wall Street, Madison, CT. Two
sessions will be offered. Classes will meet twice a week
for eight weeks. Various days and times are available.
Classes available are Taekwondo (ages 6 to adult), Young
Dragons (ages 3 to 5) and Cardio-Kickboxing (ages 10 to
adult). The fee is $50 per session. Uniforms are
required for all Taekwondo classes and can be purchased
at Madison Academy. Personal Training is also available
for $45 per hour for three, one-hour sessions. Martial
Arts Classes are held throughout the school year.
Session V: April 27, 2009 to
June 19, 2009 & Session VI: June 22 to August 14, 2009.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL CLINIC:
For
6th, 7th, 8th grade
girls. Children will learn the rules and skills
required playing volleyball. The instructor is Joe
Grippo. The clinic will be held at the Morgan gym in
March 28 & 29, 2009,
Time: 9 – 11 am & 12 – 2 pm.
Fee is $ 20.00.
ADULT CO-ED VOLLEYBALL:
(Adults Only) Its open gym! Have some fun and join us
for a friendly game of volleyball! The games will be
played on Monday evenings
from 7:30-9:30 pm
at the following locations. March and April at the
Morgan Gym and May at the Eliot Gym.
MEN’S
BASKETBALL: (Adults only) Its open gym!
Stop in for a quick pick-up game of basketball. The
games will be played from
7:30-9:30 pm. The following schedule shows

DEP SAFE BOATING CLASSES:
(Adults and children over 10) This is a 10 hour course
that meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from
7:00-9:30 pm for two
weeks. The last class will give a final exam. A
passing grade will enable you to apply for your Safe
Boating certificate. The classes will be held at the
Morgan School (room 10), located at 27 Killingworth
Turnpike (route 81), Clinton, CT 06413. The minimum
class size is 20 and the maximum size is 30. There will
be two sessions available:
Session I: March 17, 19, 24, 26, 2009, Session II:
April 21, 23, 28, 30, 2009 & Session III: May 12, 14,
19, 21, 2009. The fee is $10 per person.
PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAM:
Classes are held at the P & R Building, Dates:
February 2, 2009 to March 23,
2009 (excluding Feb. 16th) and
Times: Grade K-2nd:
4:15 – 5:00 p.m., Grade 3 –
6th: 5:05 – 6:00 p.m. Don’t miss
out on this energetic, exciting class that teaches
theater games, concentration exercises, voice and speech
improvisational exercises, acting terminology, sense
memory, subtext, stage skills and script work. These
classes will also be challenging and offer new and
exciting activities for the more experienced participant
as well. (All materials will be provided and included
in program price) Fee is $90 and $95 for

DRAWING CLASSES:
Grades 4-8.
Classes are held at the P & R Building. Dates: Thursdays:
March 19 – April 9, 2009.
Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm. Fee is $85.00.
Supplies needed for this class: Charcoal (soft or extra
soft vice charcoal), Paper (not newspaper – white
drawing paper & big drawing pad), & a Magic rub eraser.

YOUTH WRESTLING PROGRAM:
Children grades 4 – 8. Tuesdays & Thursdays: Feb. 3 –
26, 2009 & Thursdays: March 5 – May 28, 2009, Time: 6 –
8 pm.
This program will take place at the Morgan School Gym
B. Fee: $55 which will include a T-shirt and a USA
Wrestling card. For families of two or more, the price
will decrease to $50 per student.
BALLROOM DANCE CLASSES:
Classes will be held at the P & R Building. Dates:
Fridays: February 13 – March
27, 2009, Time: Swing/Tango (6 – 7 pm), Foxtrot/Waltz
(7:15 – 8:15 pm). Fee is $$90.00 Per Couple,
per Class ($100.00 Non-residents) or $45.00 for Singles
($50.00 Non-residents). Beginner Swing/Tango:
Have you always wanted to know what it feels like to be
a part of the ballroom craze, but it has seemed too
complicated to learn? Come learn the basic steps of
Swing and Tango with no dance or partner experience
necessary! All classes offer clear instruction.
Beginner Foxtrot/Waltz: Have you seen these
dances on “Dancing With the Stars”? Foxtrot and
Waltz are complimentary dances which means the steps
learned for Foxtrot can be easily adapted for Waltz!
Double your money – and fun- by taking this fun and
creative class. No experience or partner necessary.
Dress comfortably. Leather sole shoes recommended but
not required
BALLROOM DANCE For WEDDING
COUPLES: Classes will be held at the P &
R Building. Dates:
Thursday: Feb. 19 & 26, Monday: March 16 & 23,
Thursday: April 9 & 16, Thursday: May 21 & 28, &
Thursday: June 4 & 11, 2009. Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
Fee: $25.00 per couple ($30 Non-residents) For Each
Two day Session. A minimum of 4 couples are required to
hold the class. Description: a fun and practical
foundation for your “First dance” together. Also
perfect for father/daughter or mother/son dance. Learn
basic steps that will get you on your way to being
relaxed and graceful on your special day! A simple
Foxtrot pattern is created in class that you may use for
your wedding dance, or you may choose to go on to more
classes for a more personalized dance. If you have a
wedding song picked out, feel free to bring the CD to
class. Instructor: Sharyn Farrell.
GIRL’S SOFTBALL PROGRAM:
For girls in Grades
1-3. Program is held on
Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3 –
5 pm at the Peters Complex. Practice will begin in
April and Games will begin in May and ends early June.

FALL SOCCER REGISTRATIONS:
May 2 & May 9, 2009, Time: 10 am to 12 noon.
Location: P & R Building, 201 Killingworth Turnpike,
Clinton, CT.
CLINTON FAMILY DAY:
JULY 18, 2009, Time: 9 am – 2 pm at the Clinton Town
Beach. Sand Sculpture registrations are between 8:30 –
9:00 am.
